YOUR INFORMATION

What your bill shares.

SPLIT does not require an account and does not request your recovery phrase or private key. You approve payments in your own wallet.

Bill links are visible to anyone who has them

A bill link contains the title, recipient wallet address, currency, amount, payer count, network, and creation time. It is signed to prevent changes, but it is not encrypted. Avoid putting private information in a bill title. Anyone with the link can view its payment status and share it onward.

Payments are public

Solana transactions, wallet addresses, amounts, and payment references are public blockchain data. SPLIT queries a Solana RPC provider to verify payments. Following a transaction link opens Solana Explorer, a separate service.

Information on your device

SPLIT saves created bills, requests you choose to save, receipt references, and unresolved payment attempts in this browser/app using IndexedDB and browser storage. Attempt reminders help prevent accidental retries; they are not proof of payment. There is no cloud history or automatic cross-device sync. Clearing browser data can remove saved history and reminders. Removing history inside SPLIT keeps unresolved attempt protection. Exported backups contain public bill links; keep them private. Restore validates links and rechecks payment evidence online. The offline app caches only generic static files, never bill pages or payment responses. The app does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics.

Hosting and network services

The website server receives bill creation requests and bill links when you use the app. SPLIT has no application database for bills. Hosting services may retain access or error logs, including IP addresses and requested URLs. The RPC provider receives blockchain queries used to check the recipient and payment references.

Blockchain records cannot be erased by clearing your browser or deleting a link. Keep bill links private when you do not want others to see their contents.
